Just Say NO

During the 1980s President Reagan started an anti drug campaign with the theme of saying NO. Today, we must once again say no. While I hope each of us has said no to schedule 4 and 5 narcotics, there is a drug sweeping the US far more deadly than anything that goes up your nose or down your throat. This drug is government dependence and control. Today everyone wants a handout from the federal government. We want the imperial government of the US to provide us with housing, vehicles, health care, food, and education. We seem eager to forget Constitutional restrictions if we feel there is some from of material substance to be gained. However, we are quick to invoke Constitutional boundaries if it pertains to criminal prosecution. If the police violate the rights of violent criminals the case will quickly be thrown out on Unconstitutional grounds. This selective use of the Constitution will quickly thwart the 4th Amendment as well, and unlawful searches and seizures will be a part of American life as if the war for Independence was never fought.

I have already put my family on notice that we will just say no! If the health care plan being debated in Congress is passed into law the Andrew Purvis family will not be joining or registering for the plan. What if this means we sacrifice, and it becomes very difficult for us to obtain the care we need? We will deal with it just as great American patriots of yesteryear's dealt with the challenges facing them. As a police officer I will not enforce the laws associated with the health care plan, and will refuse to prosecute anyone who refuses the plan. What if this costs me my job? So be it. Our founders pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honors. I stand with them, not the socialists in Washington.

Please join me in voicing that you will stand with me and refuse to sign up for the governments health care. We will start our own network of freedom loving doctors, pharmacists, and nurses.

Time to stand up!

The United States of America is under attack. While most of us consider threats from terrorists, cartel, and enemy nations our greatest dangers, the most is non-military (for now) and right under our nose. The Constitution of the United States is being undermined every day, and our rights and freedoms are being surrendered under the guise of necessary governmental programs.

This nation was founded not as an imperial state with federally partitioned areas of land called states. The states came first, and decided to join together to form the more perfect union. These states were preceded by communities dedicated to the ideas of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

In order to defend our nation from the inward attacks President Lincoln warned us about we must start at home. Strong communities will rise up and stand in the path of liberty thwarting federal legislation. We must no longer be silent. We must no longer stand by and watch the enemies of freedom desecrate the sacrifice of millions of Americans over the past 200+ year.

I will no longer be silent. I encourage each of you to join me as we voice our resolve, and organize our actions. If we wait any longer our children will not inherit the same America we have prospered in.
